Two HP chamber orders in the first week of September

Bluetest is happy to announce its third order from Japan for High Performance (HP) reverberation chamber no. 13 and its fourth HP chamber order in Europe, i.e. for HP chamber no 14. These chambers will be Bluetest chambers no. 27 and 28 to be installed worldwide. During 2008 the interest from wireless companies all over the world in Bluetest´s unique technology has increased significantly. The main reasons are the 1) very fast and accurate measurements, 2) ease of use and 3) small size and cost of the chambers.

iPhone 3G TRP and TIS test by Bluetest

After many rumors on the internet about a possible problem with iPhone 3G´s antenna affecting its ability to connect to the 3G network, the Swedish paper Göteborgsposten asked if Bluetest could make some tests to verify or disprove this rumor for an iPhone belonging to a journalist at Göteborgsposten. The results of the tests of the iPhone 3G, as well as those of a Nokia N73 and Sony Ericsson P1 can be found here.

Second Bluetest HP chamber order from Japan

Bluetest is happy to announce its second order from Japan for High Performance reverberation chamber no. 12. This will be the 26th Bluetest chamber to be installed worldwide.

Bluetest has among its customers 5 of the world's large mobile phone manufacturers, 2 of the world´s largest operators, many developers of small antennas, 5 universities, 2 test institutes, and some other wireless companies. Bluetest article in Business Region Göteborg's newsletter

Business Region Göteborg’s newsletter gives an overview of Bluetest’s revolutionary technology which allows companies working with wireless devices using small antennas to reduce their test time from several days using traditonal technology to hours using the Bluetest chambers. It also describes how Bluetest plan to increase its sales from about 1 chamber per month today to about 3 chambers per month one year from now. Keys to this expansion are CTIA approval of measurements in reverberation chambers, active marketing at wireless and antenna conferences worldwide and participation in the Swedish research program Chase. The complete newsletter (in Swedish) can be found here.

Reverberation chamber course and workshop at IEEE AP-S 2008

Professor Per-Simon Kildal and Bluetest will give a half day course at IEEE AP-S 2008 in San Diego, 6 of July 2008. The title of the course is "Testing Wireless Devices in Reverb Chamber". The course material is based on several years published and unpublished material related to measurements in the small Bluetest reverberation chambers as well as larger reverberation chambers.

Bluetest exhibits at CommunicAsia 2008

Bluetest´s distributor for the ASEAN countries, ST Electronics (Info-Comm Systems), will demonstrate the capabilities of Bluetest´s reverberation chambers in the Swedish Pavilion (booth #3H2-03) at CommunicAsia 2008 in Singapore, June 17-20.

Learn more about making direct measurements of diversity gain and MIMO capacity in only one minute using the Bluetest High Performance (HP) reverberation chamber. Antenna efficiency and TRP per channel can also be measured in only one minute. TIS measurements take about 10 minutes/channel for GSM and WCDMA.

Bluetest presentation at iWAT 2008

At the 2008 International Workshop on Antenna Technology iWAT in Chiba, Japan, Bluetest´s CEO Mats Andersson presented the invited paper "Three Fast Ways of Measuring Receiver Sensitivity in a Reverberation Chamber" by Mats Andersson, Charlie Orlenius, and Per-Simon Kildal.

HP chamber no. 10 to Taiwan

Bluetest is happy to announce an order for High Performance chamber no. 10. It is also the first order to Taiwan. Bluetest has previously delivered reverberation chambers to several Asian countries which have companies focused on wireless devices with small antennas, among them Korea, Japan, China, and now also Taiwan.

Bluetest article in Microwave Engineering Europe

In their latest issue, Microwave Engineering Europe (MWEE) publishes an article highlighting the benefits of the reverberation chamber. The article is authored by Bluetest CEO Mats Andersson and gives a thorough background to measurements of devices with integrated small antennas.

See a web version of the January/February issue of MWEE here, the reverberation chamber article is found on page 24.

Bluetest releases TRP and TIS SW for GPRS/EDGE and HSPA

With the delivery of HP chamber no. 8 in December 2007 Bluetest has delivered TRP and TIS software for GPRS/EDGE and HSPA. The TRP measurements take one minute/channel with an accuracy of better than 0.5 dB standard deviation, and TIS measurements take about 10 minutes/channel.

Software for measuring GSM, WCDMA and CDMA2000 with the same speed in the HP chamber is available since earlier. Software for Bluetooth measurements is planned to be ready in March 2008.

Bluetest recieves its first order from Japan

Bluetest is happy to announce its first order to Japan for High Performance reverberation chamber no. 9. In connection with the delivery of the chamber in early March 2008, Bluetest´s Japanese distributor Toyo Corporation will arrange a seminar to introduce the Bluetest products to wireless companies in Japan.
