Press release, 2015-02-18
With the recent addition of Bluetooth and TD-SCDMA, Bluetest now completes the line-up of supported wireless standards enabled by the Rohde & Schwarz CMW500 Wideband Radio Communication Tester. “By working closely with Rohde & Schwarz we can now offer fast air interface testing on the most important wireless formats with only one communication tester, where previously two or three testers were needed,” says Kjell Olovsson, CEO of Bluetest. The easy to use Bluetest Measurement Suite software controls the R&S CMW500 Wideband Radio Communication Tester as well as the Reverberation Test System (RTS) producing fast and accurate Over the Air (OTA) measurements of the wireless device under test.
The supported standards are:
- GSM including GPRS/EDGE
- CDMA 2000 1xRTT
- WCDMA including HSPA, HSPA+ and DC-HSPA
- LTE FDD including DL carrier aggregation with 2CC
- LTE TDD including DL carrier aggregation with 2CC
- 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi
Each wireless format challenges a device differently and the purpose of the reverberation chamber is to make sure the device can handle a broad spectrum of wireless channel conditions. Over-the-air testing is necessary to ensure that new advances in antenna systems, case design, chipset integration and cutting-edge components actually deliver on their promises. Based on a close collaboration with Rohde & Schwarz, Bluetest’s Reverberation Test System gives wireless design engineers a test platform to measure transmitted power, receiver sensitivity, data throughput, call drop resilience and other device performance metrics in a rich multipath environment.
Bluetest AB Bluetest AB is the market leader in reverberation test system technology for over-the-air (OTA) testing of wireless devices and small antennas. Bluetest’s technology has been adopted by the largest mobile phone manufacturers, network operators, antenna manufacturers and other providers of wireless solutions.
