How do you calibrate the chamber?

The chamber is calibrated by running a chamber loss measurement in Flow. A vector network analyzer is connected to the appropriate ports on the chamber and a reference antenna is used on the turntable. Flow runs the measurement and generates a result file. This chamber loss result is then loaded into other tests and used to remove the impact of the chamber.

Does the chamber need any absorbers?

The chamber does not need any absorbers, but they can be used to create a specific propagation environment that may be required by some standards. For example, absorbers can be used to tune the delay spread and coherence bandwidth in the chamber to meet CTIA and 3GPP requirements. Flow Analyzer has viewers and tools to help check the delay spread and coherence bandwidth.

Can I use phantoms, like the head and hand phantom, in the chamber?

Yes! The phantoms are generally placed on a small table that is then secured to the turn table. We have a small table with the mounting holes for most available head and hand phantoms.

What are the environmental requirements for reverberation chambers?

Our chambers are designed for indoor use only.
Operating temperature: 5-40°C (40-105°F)
Maximum altitude: 2000 m (6600 ft)
Maximum relative humidity: 80% (non-condensing)

You can register for an account on our customer web with the information available on the system touch screen. After logging in, you can download the latest license file for your system under “Licenses.” If you continue to encounter problems, please contact support@bluetest.se.

Can older RTS chambers be upgraded?

Yes! Most older systems are possible to upgrade, giving you access to the latest hardware and software. Please contact your local distributor or sales@bluetest.se for more information.

Which wireless standards do you cover?

We currently have support for GSM, CDMA2000, WCDMA/HSPA, LTE, LTE Cat M1, NB-IoT, NTN, Bluetooth, WLAN (including 6 GHz in 802.11ax/be), and 5G (including RedCap). If you have something you want tested that is not yet supported, please contact us!
